Radiological Society of North America

The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA®) is an international society of radiologists, medical physicists and other medical professionals with more than 54,000 members across the globe. Based in Oak Brook, Illinois, RSNA was established in 1915.
RSNA hosts the world’s largest annual medical meeting, a week-long event which starts the last Sunday of November in Chicago. The society also publishes two peer-reviewed journals: ''Radiology'', a leading peer-reviewed journal, offering the highest-quality radiology research and state-of the-art reviews, and ''RadioGraphics'', dedicated to continuing education in radiology.
The Society also develops and offers informatics-based software solutions in support of a universal electronic health record, sponsors research to advance quantitative imaging biomarkers, and conducts outreach to enhance education in developing nations. Through its Research & Education (R&E) Foundation, RSNA provides millions of dollars in funding to investigators, helping to build the future of the profession.
The presidency of the RSNA is held as a one-year term. The current president is Ronald L. Arenson, MD.〔

Available in English and Spanish, RadiologyInfo.org is the public information website developed and funded by the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the American College of Radiology (ACR). It was established to inform and educate the general public about what radiology is and what radiologists do. Approximately half a million people visit RadiologyInfo each month.
RadiologyInfo is designed to answer patients’ questions related to radiologic procedures and how to prepare for them, as well as tests/treatments, diseases, and radiation safety. By visiting the site, patients and their families may gain a better understanding of the role of radiology in disease diagnosis and the many minimally invasive treatments available to them.
Each section of the site has been created with the guidance of a physician with expertise in the topic presented. All materials featured on the site have been reviewed, written and/or approved by a panel of radiology experts who are affiliated with ACR and RSNA, as well as other professional medical and radiology organizations. The site is free and does not accept advertising.
